Region X is totally useless if you didn't change your drive's firmware to a region-free one.
Changing your drive's firmware to a region-free one is not enough. You'll also need Region X.
I retired from patching DVD firmwares, however I updated Region X for Intel Macs.
This is for use with a region-free drive, Mac OS X and Apple's DVD Player or Front Row. Universal binary, tested on PowerPC and Intel Macs and Mac OS X 10.3.0 and Up. Older Versions of Mac OS X should have no problem running it, too.

Region Display official version: PAL or NTSC
Region Display is a very small DVD movie that will display your player region settings, as they may be queried by some movies, e.g. RCE protected movies. Suitable for checking topset DVD players.
